With the content mode, you get a suggestion for a single deck. The suggestion includes a learning path made of flashcards for the Discover section. The assistant uses multiple didactic structures for the content.
Step 1: Choose a template
A learning deck in ovos play can look different. The assistant has access to almost all available card templates and can use them to assemble different decks:
Interactive Learning Nugget
The best practice example in ovos play. The assistant generates an exciting and interactive learning experience.
Interactive Training Scenario
The assistant creates a scenario for learners where they can learn as practically as possible. For this template, we recommend you have a specific scenario from the learners' everyday life in mind.
Step-by-Step Instructions
This template transforms instructions into individual steps. This way, learners can go through the instructions step by step without missing anything.
User Survey
The assistant creates a survey to collect feedback from learners.
Just Information
This template prepares your content in a straightforward way – for clear information delivery. It’s the simplest and most accessible form of knowledge sharing.
For the instructions, we’ll create an example deck with an Interactive Learning Nugget. In the next step, you can adjust the structure even further.
With the “content flow” you can choose from and combine different didactic techniques. Additionally, you can enable or disable the card types you want to use.
If you’re happy with your configuration, click on Next.
Step 2: Add your sources
Now you give the assistant the necessary context to suggest a learning structure. These can be Word files, PDF documents, PowerPoint presentations, or even images (e.g., diagrams).
You can also use existing library elements as sources. This can be helpful if you want to give existing content a new look or make it simpler. Click on “Add library element(s)” and choose the desired elements from the library.
If you want to add your own sources without formatting or jot down your ideas yourself, you can also add a text. Click on “Add text” and write or paste your text into the text field.
You can add multiple sources from all available types. This allows you to enrich existing library content, for example, with additional PDFs. Once you've added all the sources, click on Next.
Step 3: Define the tone
In the next step, you determine how the texts in the output should be styled.
Using the selection field on the left side, you can determine whether the content should be very complex or simply written, from left to right. From bottom to top, you determine whether the texts should be very serious or playful.
If you're unsure which tone fits your content, choose the middle.
You can also select the output language to be German or English. With the additional instructions, you can add further guidelines for the AI if needed. This can be helpful if you have a clear idea of what the structure should look like.
Once you've adjusted your tone, click on “Generate”.
Step 4: Edit Suggestion
The assistant now shows you a suggestion for a learning path. You can check and edit this suggestion now.
With the button “Adjust suggestion” the assistant shows you pre-made adjustments – including language level, length, or style.
You can also enter your own change requests in the text field and submit them. If you only want to modify one or specific cards, you can mark the cards with a click. The desired change will then only affect the selected cards.
You can deselect the selected card by clicking it again. You can also directly reference a change on a single card by describing the card or, for example, calling it "Card 4."
If you're happy with your changes, click on the button “Apply Suggestion” and the assistant will ask you whether you want to add the cards to a new deck or an existing one.
In our example, we want to add the cards to the created deck from the structure mode. The assistant automatically recognizes which deck you've currently selected in the library and suggests that deck to you.
Once the cards are added, you can create practice cards for this learning path right away. Click on the button, and the assistant will suggest practice cards for you.
You can check and edit the practice cards afterwards until you’re happy with them and ready to add them to a deck. When doing so, select the practice mode for the deck to which you want to add the cards.
Now your deck is ready, and you can use the content mode to create more decks.
When you're done with all the decks, you can consider taking a test to conclude the topic.
