We recommend for animated GIFs
a minimum resolution of 800x600 pixels
a maximum file size of 5 MB
Tips for reducing the file size:
Use only necessary frames
Reduce the resolution
Save GIFs with less detail (if necessary, use the Websnap setting)
Use tools to compress finished GIFs more strongly
Example:
This GIF with 20 frames and a resolution of 673 x 673 pixels has a file size of 4.7 MB and thus complies with the recommendations.
